LOCATION
The Library is situated on the First Floor in the New Building in Milford Care Centre as part of the Education, Research and Professional Development Service.
FACILITIES
Internet access, Microsoft Office, SPSS package and study space is available in the Library. Library material may be photocopied subject to relevant copyright regulations.
COLLECTION
The Library is developing its collection of books, reports, audiovisual material and journals in subject areas such as palliative & terminal care, nursing / medical, gerontology, bereavement, religion & spirituality, education, ethics, complementary therapies, oncology & management.
Course participants may consult books from the Library collection.
JOURNALS & ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
The Library subscribes to a number of journals in the field of palliative care.
The Library also has access to Cinahl Plus with Full-Text and UptoDate databases.
CINAHL ® plus with Full Text is a nursing & allied health research database, providing full text for more than 750 journals indexed in CINAHL. The database also provides full text for more than 220 books / monographs. Staff and course participants can access this database from home. They must first register with the Library and they will be issued with a username and password.
