Milford Hospice Friends (MHF) was established initially in 1983 to support the Little Company of Mary with their work at Milford Hospice, through the organising and running of fundraising events. In more recent years, MHF also supports the associated work of Milford’s Palliative Day Care and Hospice at Home services.
The functions of the Milford Hospice Friends are varied, but centre around information sharing, relationship building and raising much needed funds to meet the specific special or ongoing service needs of Milford Hospice. Initiating and organising fundraising activities is by far the key role of the Friends and some of the scheduled fundraising events include: Sunflower Days, Harvest Fair, Ireland's Biggest Coffee Morning and Light up a Memory which captures the attention, hearts and funds of the community.
MHF provide an invaluable resource in support of the work of Milford Hospice and as such is recognised as a committed group of individuals who bring a unique contribution in support of its service delivery.
