Volunteer Department
Volunteers play a major role here in Milford Care Centre. Their origin goes back to the foundation of the Hospice in 1977. They are involved in the Nursing Home, Day Care and Hospice and carry out many of the tasks that help Milford to provide the relaxed, homely atmosphere for which the Centre is recognised. Their function within the Centre is a dual one i.e. they represent the outside community to our residents and patients while also bringing the message of Milford to the outside community.
One of the aims of the Volunteer Department is to try to individualise the talents of each volunteer and deploy them in the area which best suits them.

Those interested in becoming involved with our Bereavement or Fundraising volunteers should follow the relevant link above for further information.
All volunteers are requested to complete a Garda Vetting form which will be posted to you upon receipt of your completed application form. Garda Vetting forms must also be returned to the Volunteer Co-ordinator.
