The overall infrastructure at Milford Care Centre has changed dramatically over the years since the establishment of Milford House Nursing Home by the Little Company of Mary in 1928. Despite these physical changes we, as a healthcare facility, have strived to ensure that we continue to deliver the highest quality and safe care to our residents, patients and visitors. Today we still uphold the core message of the Little Company of Mary which is reflected in our Mission Statement.

I hope you will have time to browse through our site to see the full range of services we can now offer to our service users and see the supports we provide for family members. We believe that the people we serve deserve only the best and that is what we seek to achieve through our continuous improvement policies and training. Our job here in Milford Care Centre is to make a positive difference to people’s quality of life and this is a role that we take very seriously.

We, as a Voluntary Service Provider, are fortunate to enjoy a very strong working partnership with the Health Service Executive and other key stakeholders. Furthermore, we feel privileged that our community supports us so much through our many volunteers and the fundraising support we receive on an ongoing basis. Our commitment to our many funders remains that we ensure that all of the resources available to Milford Care Centre are used to deliver high quality and safe patient-centred care in an efficient and effective manner.

These are clearly challenging economic times so needless to say we continue to need as much support as we can get and I would like to acknowledge and thank the people of the Mid West for the wonderful and generous support Milford has received down through the years.

This website aims to give you important information on our services and what Milford Care Centre has to offer. It also describes how you can support us in our work through volunteering or indeed by making a donation, all of which would be very much appreciated.
